WADI QANAT
The strategic valley.
A valley of the Sîrah
Wadi Qanat is an important valley north of Medina, which was the site of several events from the Sîrah, including:
- Caravan passages
- Maneuvers before and after Uhud
- Invocations for rain
Water and War
Like all valleys in Arabia, Wadi Qanat depended on seasonal water. Its fertility when it rained, its desolation when it was dry, made it a strategic geographical point.
