1. Who we are

Visit Arabia is an informative and spiritual guide dedicated to pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia (ʿOmra and Hajj), exploring Islamic historical sites (Mecca, Medina, Badr), and training French-speaking pilgrims.

2. Personal data collected

• First name and email — for account creation and personalization
• Password — encrypted (bcrypt), never in plain text
• Google ID — only if you use Google login (optional)
• Progress data — sites visited, completed steps, AI scores of recitations (stored partly locally and partly on our servers if account created)
• Premium status — purchase date of Premium, amount, Stripe payment ID
• IP address — temporarily collected for security (anti-spam, anti-fraud)

3. Use of data

• Management of your account and personal progress
• Sending transactional emails (welcome, Premium confirmation, password reset)
• Improvement of content and features
• Processing Premium payments via Stripe
• Validation of your recitation by AI (Whisper) — the audio is processed and then immediately deleted

We never sell your personal data. No email lists are resold to third parties.

4. Storage and security

Your data is stored on Hostinger servers hosted in Europe. Communications are encrypted HTTPS (TLS 1.3). Passwords are encrypted with bcrypt. Admin code is protected by secure HMAC session.

We use a minimal number of cookies, classified into two categories:

• localStorage — local backup of your progress (current rite, validations, settings)

🟡 Third-party cookies (with consent)

• TravelPayouts (tpemb.com, tp.media) — flight/eSIM affiliation. 30-day cookie for commission attribution.
• GetYourGuide (widget.getyourguide.com) — activity affiliation. Tracking analytics widget.
• Google Sign-In (only if you use it) — policy: policies.google.com/privacy
• Stripe — Premium payment. Anti-fraud cookies. Policy: stripe.com/fr/privacy

These commissions fund hosting, maintenance, and the creation of new free content (Miqât guides, Tawâf, Sa'y, mobility, pilgrim map). You pay exactly the same price as on the partner's site.

• GetYourGuide — activities and guided tours, commission ~8%
• Booking.com (activation in progress) — hotels, commission ~6%

Affiliate links are **always presented openly** as such via:

• Label "Partner" / "Powered by [Partner]" on each widget
• Attribute rel="sponsored" on HTML links (Google standard)
• This transparency page accessible from the footer of each page

Our commitment: we only recommend services that we consider useful and reliable for pilgrims. Commissions do not influence our editorial content or our religious guides.

9. Payments (Premium)

The Premium 'Omra (9.99€ for life) is processed via Stripe. No banking data is stored on our servers — Stripe fully manages the payment (PCI-DSS level 1 standard). You receive an invoice by email after payment. Refund requests are possible within 14 days via contact@visitearabie.com.

You can delete your account at any time from your profile. All your personal data will then be permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymized data (usage statistics, without link to you) may be retained for analysis.
