The clan of Jabir ibn Abdullah
Bani Haram was a clan of the Khazraj. It is from this tribe that Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari (رضي الله عنه) came — one of the most prolific companions in hadith.
The father of Jabir, Abdullah ibn Haram, died as a martyr in the Battle of Uhud. He is the only companion whom the Prophet ﷺ personally buried. (Sahih al-Bukhari n°1244)
The mosque
The Prophet ﷺ visited this clan several times and prayed there. The mosque preserves this tradition. (As-Samhudi · Wafa' al-Wafa)
