A Descendant of the Lineage of the Prophet ﷺ
Fatima bint al-Husayn (رحمها الله) was the daughter of Imam Hussayn (the grandson of the Prophet ﷺ who was martyred at Karbala) and thus the great-granddaughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
She survived the massacre of Karbala (61 AH / 680 CE) (she was still young at the time) and was taken to Damascus with the survivors, then returned to Medina where she lived the rest of her life.
Her House in Medina
She resided in Medina in a home located in Wadi al-Aqiq — the blessed valley. There, she raised her children, transmitted the hadiths she received from her father and family, and passed away.
She is buried in Al-Baqi.
